The Tippett Quartet, one of Britain's leading young string quartets, formed in 1998, the year in which they made their Wigmore Hall debut and are gaining increasing recognition in the world of chamber music. They have since performed at the BBC Proms, Purcell Room, Cheltenham Festival, Dartington International Summer School, St John's Smith Square and Chichester Festivities. The quartet has premiered works by composers including Cecilia Ore, Simon Holt, Robert Walker and Stephen Dodgson. Their relationship with Stephen Dodgson has led to the release of three discs of his chamber music for Dutton Epoch.
