This will open up the Ticketing interface, which expands down from the top of the page, allowing you to still view the page you were originally on.

CHIEF CONSTABLE’S CONCERT DATE BRINGS MEMORIES FLOODING BACK

Dr Timothy Brain will be there to see the renowned Rudolfus Choir whose members include his son, Richard. The last time the Chief Constable was due to hear the choir perform in the Abbey two years ago the event was washed out by the floods that swept through the building.

Gloucestershire was one of the areas worst hit by the 2007 summer floods and with hundreds of people homeless and power cut off to 50,000 homes Dr Brain would have been too busy to attend even if the concert had been able to go ahead.

Dr Brain, who was made an OBE the following year for his work for policing and the community in Gloucestershire, is a keen supporter of the Three Choirs Festival and was in Hereford Cathedral on Saturday for the opening concert of this year's event.

Today's (Monday's) concert will also be a special one for Dr Paul Hedley, the General Manager of the Three Choirs. He was the local administrator of the 2007 Festival, which was being hosted in Gloucester.
