Internationally recognised for his interpretations of Liszt and Brahms, Libor Novacek's playing has already been compared with that of the great masters such as Kempff and Arrau. He is said to possess ‘exceptional poetic verve and inwardness' and his recording of Brahms's second Sonata is said to have ‘set a new benchmark'.
Libor Novacek is no stranger to Three Choirs, having stepped in at short notice to give an acclaimed recital at the 2006 festival. We are pleased to have him back this year with a varied recital programme both marking the Haydn anniversary, alongside his beloved Liszt and his compatriot Janáček.
