David Gerrard is 18 and has recently completed his studies at Stokesley School 6th Form College, North Yorkshire. A student of Greg Smith, David is currently Organ Scholar at Northallerton Parish Church, and he plays regularly at several other local churches. In Summer 2008, he received the Associate diploma of the Royal College of Organists, winning the Sawyer and Durrant, the Lord St Audries and the Samuel Baker prizes. He also holds the ATCL diploma for piano. David will be Organ Scholar of Canterbury Cathedral from September 2009.
