FESTIVAL CLUB
The Club is provided and staffed by volunteers
from the Friends of Hereford Three Choirs Festival.
‘The four elements of the Club - the Shirehall, the Hereford Cathedral School (HCS), the HCS Zimmerman Building and No 2 Castle Street - are open to members only'
Club membership costs: £1 per day, or £5 for the week, payable at the Shirehall
Members of the Three Choirs Festival Society and those who have bought festival stewardships are automatically members: please wear your Society/Steward's badge to help the Club volunteers to identify you. Members of the Friends of the Hereford Three Choirs Festival are also automatically members and will be given a badge.
Club facilities
1 In the Shirehall, in St.Peter's Square
Open from 9.30 a.m.; closes at 8.00 p.m.
Serving: tea / coffee / light snacks / buffet cold lunches and pre-concert cold suppers.
On Saturday 8th August
The Festival Club will be open on the ground floor only (i.e. not up in the Assembly Room) for teas, coffees, snacks and light refreshments only.
2 In the Dining Hall of Hereford Cathedral School
(at the back of No.1 Castle Street)
Pre-concert three-course hot suppers, with a glass of wine: cost £12.00.
Suppers must be pre-booked and paid for at the Shirehall no later than 2.30 p.m. the same day. You may pre-book for as many days in advance as you wish.
(NB The capacity of the Dining Hall is limited: book early to avoid disappointment!)
Owing to the Friends' Reception in the Bishop's Palace , the Festival Club will NOT be providing hot suppers on the opening Saturday of the Festival, Saturday 8 August.
Supper is served at 6.00 p.m..
The Dining Hall closes shortly before the start of the main evening concert in the cathedral.
3. In the Zimmerman Building at Hereford Cathedral School. ‘The Zim'
Cathedral end of Church Street)
The Zim café opening hours 10am to 11.30pm.
Tasty food served all day with coffee, tea, chocolate and soft drinks, sandwiches, tortilla wraps, salads, panini, cakes etc.
4. Bar at No 2 Castle Street
A bar where concert goers can socialise. Open from 12noon and closes at 11.30pm
