The writer Anthony Boden was born in Cheshire and has lived in Gloucestershire since 1975. He has a particular interest in British music and literature, and, following a career in the medical services of the Royal Air Force, was appointed Administrator of the Three Choirs Festival in Gloucester, a post he held from 1989 until 1999.
In 1995 he became founding Chairman of the Ivor Gurney Society, and, in 2001, a Trustee of the Ivor Gurney Estate. His books include:
