Edward’s musical education began at a young age as a chorister at Westminster Abbey under Martin Neary, Martin Baker, and James O’Donnell. Subsequently, he won a major Music Scholarship to Harrow School, where he played the organ for school chapel services and performed organ concertos with the school orchestra.At school, he won several prizes in competitions, most notably the Senior Piano Prize in his last year.
After leaving Harrow, Edward was appointed Music Tutor and Organ Scholar at the King’s School, Ely, for a year. His work included teaching Music and giving Piano lessons, as well as conducting and accompanying a number of services in Ely Cathedral.
Currently, Edward studies Music at Keble College, Oxford, where he is now Senior Organ Scholar, and conducts the choir on a regular basis. Last summer, Edward was awarded an Academic Scholarship for his performance in first year exams. He was also made an Associate of the Royal College of Organists, after successful examination, and now studies organ with Dan Hyde. In his spare time, Edward enjoys singing, and is currently Chairman of Oxford’s premier chamber choir, Schola Cantorum.
