Renowned as an opera and concert conductor of distinction, Harry Bicket is especially noted for his interpretation of baroque and classical repertoire and became Artistic Director of The English Concert in 2007.

Recent seasons have included productions for Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, Los Angeles, Glyndebourne, Santa Fe, Opera North, Spoleto, Bayerische Staatsoper and the Liceu (Barcelona). Orchestras include Seattle, San Francisco and Colorado Symphony, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, St Paul Chamber Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Scottish Chamber.

2009/2010 includes his Japanese debut with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and Ian Bostridge; productions for Theater an der Wien, Barcelona, Atlanta and Canadian Operas; Los Angeles Philharmonic and concert and touring projects with The English Concert.
