The Music for Awhile Orchestra was founded by Margaret Faultless and Simon Whistler to enable a group of musicians of international standing to perform repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries on original instruments, while sharing a passion for exploring and researching historical styles and performance practice as well as bringing to life rarely performed masterpieces.
The core players are all principals with leading international orchestras and ensembles. Margaret is a leader of the Orchesta of the Age of Enlightenment and is in great demand internationally as a specialist in historical performance practice.
