Peter HolderPETER HOLDER grew up in Bewdley, Worcestershire, studying as a King’s Music Scholar at The King’s School, Worcester. He began lessons in piano and violin at the age of four and began studying organ with David Brookshaw at the age of eight.

Peter became a chorister in Worcester Cathedral Choir in 1997 and remained there for seven years before taking on the role of organ scholar at St Thomas’s Church, Stourbridge under Andrew Fletcher.

At the age of fifteen, Peter successfully took his Grade 8 Organ exam and was subsequently awarded a Silver Medal for his result. In the Summer of 2009, Peter gained his ARCO diploma, winning the Limpus and Lord St Audries prizes.

After leaving school, Peter completed a gap year as Organ Scholar at Southwell Minster, where he studied with Paul Hale. While there, he undertook the playing of a significant number of services and concerts, as well as assisting with the training of, and working pastorally with, the Cathedral choristers.

Last September, he began a four-year undergraduate course at the Royal Academy of Music. In conjunction with this, Peter is presently the Organ Scholar at The Royal Hospital, Chelsea, and in September will take on the Organ Scholarship at St Albans Cathedral. Aged nineteen, Peter currently studies piano with Philip Fowke and organ with David Titterington. He regularly gives recitals at a variety of venues across the country.
