Singers & instrumentalists will be invited from community choirs, church and gospel choirs, male voice and ladies choirs, a capella groups, barber shop groups, choral societies and folk groups to join our community celebration.

The project will stretch over four months and include ‘gathering’ days to learn the material. Distance learning will be facilitated through the provision of midi sound files & CD’s.

Scott Stroman Jazz Psalms

Scott Stroman, an inspiring and uniquely broad musician, equally at home in classical, jazz, and world music, has been commissioned to write a 45-minute choral work for this performance for large chorus and 9-piece jazz orchestra, a fusion of jazz, gospel & classical.

Scott is a conductor, composer, trombonist, singer, educator and communicator, who works in a wide range of styles with musicians of all ages, both professional and amateur. He is director of OPUS 20, Britain’s only string ensemble specializing in contemporary music, Eclectic Voices, London’s multi stylistic chamber choir, and the London Jazz Orchestra.
