Peter Nardone has been the Director of Music of Chelmsford Cathedral since 2000. He trained as a professional singer. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Arts by the University of Anglia Ruskin in 2010.

Dr Nardone said: "I am thrilled to take up this exciting opportunity and follow in the footsteps of the many distinguished musicians who have held this post. I eagerly look forward to working with those at the Cathedral, the Three Choirs Festival and in the wider community"
