A Three Choirs Plus event, which shines a spotlight on the creative talents of young people and regional artists, singers, dancers, actors, craftspeople and all-round entertainers.
Patrick Doyle, the foremost British composer, talks with the audience about his life and work and the process of writing music for film. He will share his experiences with the audience and young musicians of the National Schools’ Symphony Orchestra who will be performing works by Patrick later in the day.
An open and relaxed atmosphere including opportunities for questions and answers, this is an opportunity for the audience to get a glimpse into the world of one of today’s leading composers.

The Young NSSO is joined by players from the NSSO’s senior orchestra. The programme will include a performance of Patrick Doyle’s Potter Waltz from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Designed as a programme by children for children, families should come and enjoy today’s short programme and see what can be achieved. The performance will last for a little over an hour.
