THREE CHOIRS SPONSORS

Throughout history great music has needed generous patrons, not just for survival but to make performances available to all rather than the preserve of the wealthy.

In 2012 the festival budget needs some £308,000 to bridge the gap between total cost and aggregate box office and commercial income. We acknowledge with deep gratitude the support of Arts Council England and our local authorities and many regular commercial and private benefactors. Yet a large gap remains to be bridged.

Please help.

The provisional programme can be downloaded from the website with its panoply of events, large and small. There is also a wide-ranging ancillary programme, Three Choirs Plus, reaching out to the entire community. Sponsorships range from £250 to £25,000.

We are constructive and flexible in our reaction to enquiries. At one extreme there is the sole sponsorship of a major evening concert; at the other the shared sponsorship of a single work or performer. Every gift is recorded and, with the donor’s permission, publicised in the Festival Programme Book.

Ticket sales cover just over 50% of our expenditure, so your support and sponsorship are vital. Your contribution makes a real difference. Thank you!

Please contact our Development Manager, Debbie Liggins on deborah.liggins@3choirs.org or by phone on 01452 529819 or 07815 900245 to discuss sponsorship opportunities.

FOR INDIVIDUALS

Private Patronage

Concert donors will be given up to 12 top-price complimentary tickets depending upon the level of their donation, a listing in our programme book and public credit at the concert if desired.

Syndicate Giving

The "Chairman's Circle" for Herford 2012 offers a vehicle for individuals who feel they would like to support the Festival at a higher level, but wish to join with 19 others to form a syndicate. Membership is secured by pledging a single donation of £1000 which will bring the following benefits:

• Two top-priced tickets for the concert (or equivalent discount on Stewardship tickets)
• Pre-concert private reception in the Sponsors' marquee
• Listing in a Chairman's Circle display in the Three Choirs Festival programme book

Gift Aid: For every £1 you donate, Three Choirs will receive an additional 28p through the Gift Aid Scheme. Higher rate tax payers will get additional benefits.

FOR BUSINESS

In these incredibly challenging times, businesses still need to secure good relationships with their clients and with other organizations. What better way to network and develop this than to relax and enjoy the excellent, intelligent, live atmosphere of a concert and to take advantage of our private hospitality which is thoughtful and can be catered to your requirements.

Major concerts involving one of the world’s finest orchestras and front-rank soloists are very expensive to mount so we ask sums upwards of £20,000 for sole sponsorship of such events. However, many organisations choose to combine with other businesses to share the load.

Organisations undertaking sole sponsorship of a major cathedral event are offered

• An Events Facilitator to ensure that sponsors and guests receive all possible help end assistance
• Free private use of the festival marquee for entertaining guests (and freedom to chose their own caterer)
• Acknowledgement in all festival publicity
• Free full-page advertising space in the Festival Programme Book
• Acknowledgement on relay TV within the cathedral on the day of the performance
• Up to 12 complimentary tickets and Festival Programme Books for guests
