Hereford Friends host antiques evening with Kate Bliss

An Evening with Kate Bliss

The Friends of Hereford Three Choirs Festival invite you to spend an evening at Lyde Arundel, just outside the city, with local auctioneer and valuer Kate Bliss, a famous face from TV programmes such as Antiques Roadshow and Antiques Road Trip.

After reading English Literature at Brasenose College, Oxford, Kate studied Fine Art to become a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. After gaining over seven years experience on the rostrum as auctioneer and valuer at Brightwells Fine Art Saleroom, Kate founded her own valuation business Kate Bliss Fine Art Valuations and became a fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, specialising in silver and jewellery. Kate is also a consultant for Hansons Auctioneers in Derbyshire. Kate is patron of two charities founded in Herefordshire, St Michael’s Hospice and the Little Princess Trust and enjoys regularly hosting charity auctions and contributing to fundraising events.

At our Three Choirs Festival social evening, Kate will value items brought along by guests and will run an auction in aid of the Friends of Hereford Three Choirs Festival. Donations for the auction will be gratefully received. The evening includes supper and drinks and is supported by Brightwells Auctioneers and Henryka Jewellers of Hereford. All are welcome.
