New venue for Herefordshire Craftsmen exhibition

The Herefordshire Guild of Craftsmen will be continuing their tradition of exhibiting at the Hereford Three Choirs Festival and this year they have a new venue: St Peter’s Church in St Peter’s Square, just opposite the Shirehall and two minutes’ walk from the cathedral. The church has had a sympathetic update in the past couple of years and will provide a stunning setting to display the work of 16 Guild members together with three members of the Cotswold Craftsmen and two from the Worcestershire Guild of Designer Craftsmen. They will be exhibiting every day during the festival.

The Herefordshire Guild of Craftsmen, founded in 1953 to promote craftsmanship within the county, is a non-profit-making co-operative which provides resources, marketing and exhibition opportunities to its members while encouraging networking and social interaction to like-minded professionals. Strength of numbers allow the members access to events such as the RHS Spring and Autumn shows at Malvern, h.Art every autumn and smaller shows at the Market House in Ledbury throughout the year. Members also sell individually through galleries, shops, other events and increasingly through their own websites.

Their Three Choirs Festival exhibition in St Peter’s will be stewarded by participating members on a rota basis, offering visitors the chance to meet the craftspeople, buy their work and discuss future commissions.
