Three Cathedral Choirs sing Evensong in Hereford this Saturday

The boy choristers, lay clerks and choral scholars of Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester Cathedrals meet in Hereford this Saturday, 16 May, for their first joint rehearsal day for this year's Three Choirs Festival. After spending the day familiarising themselves with some of the repertoire for the festival, they will sing a joint service of Evensong in Hereford Cathedral at 5.30 pm, to which all are welcome. This is a wonderful oppportunity to get a flavour of the festival and hear some of the music that would have been familiar to cathedral musicians 300 years ago when the annual music meetings that developed into the Three Choirs Festival began sung by the combined forces of our three cities. Adrian Partington will conduct the Three Cathedral Choirs in the service.
