Three Choirs Festival appoints new Head of Development

The Three Choirs Festival Association has appointed Genie Dyke as its new Head of Development, in succession to Debbie Liggins. Debbie has moved to the Orchestra of the Swan as Business Development Manager. Genie took up the Three Choirs Festival post at the beginning of June and will be based in her home town of Gloucester, working across all three festivals.

With a background in arts administration, Genie started her professional life working with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra in the US before moving on to Norris Performing Arts Theatre in Palos Verdes California.

Keen to focus her career in arts management, she went to London to study at City University, graduating with a Master of Arts in Arts Management and Policy.  Upon completion of the master degree course, Genie moved to New York where she worked for Colbert Artist Agency as the concert service manager for such artists as Alfred Brendel, Heinz Holliger, James Morris, Sylvia McNair, Sir George Solti and the Julliard String Quartet.  Moving back to London, she carried on her arts management career at TransArt, working with Katia and Marielle Labeque before moving into the commercial sector.

For the past ten years, Genie has cultivated her career as a business development professional in the oil and gas sector, defence industry and international events, working with a broad client base including Shell, BP, BG Group, Northrop Grumman, PAE, General Dynamic and the London Olympic Committee 2012.
