We're recruiting this year's Three Choirs Festival Youth Choir

Recruiting has begun for this year's Three Choirs Festival Youth Choir. Singers aged 14-25 are invited to apply for a fun week of rehearsals with Geraint Bowen, Adrian Partington and Nia Llewelyn Jones, leading up to a performance of Rossini's sparkling Petite Messe solennelle with the full youth choir in Gloucester Cathedral on the morning of Friday 29 July, conducted by Geraint Bowen. Steven Kings, Christopher Allsop and Peter Dyke will provide the accompaniment on two pianos and harmonium which gives the piece its unique and often thrilling sound world. Sopranos and altos also have the opportunity to perform in Mahler's Symphony No 8, the  'Symphony of a Thousand, with the Three Choirs Festival Chorus, the Philharmonia Orchestra and an outstanding line-up of soloists, conducted by Adrian Partington.

Rehearsals take place at the Gloucester Academy of Music during Three Choirs Festival week, 23-30 July, and will be directed by Geraint Bowen, Adrian Partington and Nia Llewelyn Jones.
