Henry IV (Parts I and II)

Tue 28 July

Bishop's Palace Garden

£16, £10.50 for Under-16s

In 2012 the Gloucester-based Festival Players took over the UK's longest-established outdoor touring Shakespeare company, Theatre Set-Up. The first production of this new-look company at this year's Three Choirs Festival is a spirited adaptation of HENRY IV Parts 1 and 2, focussing on Shakespeare’s lovable, larger than life rogue, Sir John Falstaff, and his adventures with  Prince Hal, the future King Henry V. This historical drama brings to life the humanity, the politics, the battles, and the humour of this period in mediaeval Britain. A colourful two-hour production, performed by this skilled and energetic all-male company.
