1973 the Association assumed responsibility for promoting the "Music Meetings" of
the Three Choirs - a duty previously carried out by the Stewards of the host city.
Each of the Festival cities has its own support organisation - a band of loyal volunteers who work
tirelessly behind the scenes at and between Festivals, greatly contributing towards the smooth
running and financial success of each Festival. In addition to these, however, The Three Choirs
Festival Society was set up in 1996 to act as a corporate Friends organisation with its own
administration, offering certain attractive benefits to its members.
The aims of the society are to

Membership costs £20 per annum for the first member of a household and £10 for each additional
member. Junior membership (up to the age of 18) costs £5.
