The TCF Youth Choir for 16 to 25 year olds from Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire was formed in 2010 specifically to create a new choir associated with the Three Choirs Festival. There were over 40 members at the first concert in Tewkesbury Abbey which was a resounding success. The following year in Worcester Cathedral the TCF Youth Choir sang Beethoven’s Mass in C with the Philharmonia Orchestra to an audience of over 1100. Our next concert is already scheduled to take place in Hereford Cathedral on Monday 23rd July 2012 at 2.30pm and will be conducted by the world renowned David Hill and accompanied by the Orchestra of the Swan. The programme will feature Fauré Requiem and the world premiere of a piece composed especially for the Youth Choir by Dobrinka Tabakova.
The choir has been awarded the Cultural Olympiad's 'Inspire' mark this year for the second time to denote an outstanding project that will contribute to the lasting legacy of the 2012 Olympic Games.
